Film program:

From extreme white-water paddling to tranquil canoe touring leads this eventful program of the 8th European Kayak Film Festival in Vienna.

- First conquest of Tara gorge, Montenegro, 22 min
- Chenab: Documentation of the first ride on Chenab, India, by Allan Ellard, 42 min
- Scotland: Paddling in Scotland by Steve Rogers, 12 min (Austria premiere)
- Humla Kanali: Documentation by Markus Beihofer, Nepal, 14 min
- TWITCH V Austria premiere, Records and Action pure, by Eric Link, 32 min
- Mangelsgeldproduktion (=> "NoMoneyProductions") 2, 10 min
- Bowron Lakes, Canada, Canoeingdocumentaion by Olaf Obsommer, 30 min
- Seakayaking at the Lofoten, Norway by Olli Klein, 15 min
- "Ötztal - empire of wild waters" - Bernie Maurachers new production, 60 min

Highlights are the premiere of Twitch V and the documentation about the first conquest
of Tara river in Montenegro by Walter Frentz.

The Tara, as well as the Ötz, is endangered by the building of power stations. Bernhard
Mauracher focuses the beauty of the nature surrounding in the Tyrolian Ötztal.

Exciting kayaking scenes are shown from source river of the Ötz, like Gurgler-, Rofner-,
Venter Ache and the Niedertalbach. Awesome shots - partially made from the helicopter -
are shot from the Ötztal region from the sources of the Ötz river down to the entrance
into the Inn river. The Tyrolean culture life is also a part of Maurachers topics.

The very modern, 450 visitors taking, multimedia lecture hall on the university camp
of the Vienna old hospital center is provided with a superb sound system und offers
best view to the 65m2 screen from each seat.

In the large foyer rooms there will take place a traders fair with the topic "outdoor &
paddling", the film breaks are spent with interviewsa and a raffle.
